Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Conduct therapy sessions with patients.
- Document patient care in electronic medical records and ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric Nursing.
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Experience in a clinical psychiatric setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of current mental health laws and ethical standards.
- Experience with a diverse patient population.
- Leadership and management abilities.
- Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program with a focus on psychiatry.
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or another relevant certifying body.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a psychiatric setting.
- Experience in telemedicine.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and healthcare technology.
- Must be Bilingual in English and Spanish
